MWDL Web Portal Assistant Nick Hayen explains the process for creating a timeline of your digital collections using the ViewShare program. With simple free tools, you can add a visual timeline to your website, showing the date ranges of specific items or whole collections, as Nick has done for MWDL collections at http://mwdl.org/timeline.php (click on “TIMELINE” at top).
ViewShare, a project of the Library of Congress designed to help customize dynamic views of cultural heritage digital collections, has made the process easy to do, and Nick will walk us through the steps.
